The Economy of Libya is centrally planned. It depends primarily upon revenues from the petroleum sector, which contributes practically all export earnings and over half of GDP

Not likely, and this is why.
Europe, and especially Brent, deoends on libyan oil to keep their prices down as the north sea fields, the original source of oil for Brent, decline.
Brent oil is the keystone oil, the best of the best, and its price sets the ceiling for all other oil pruces.
And europe, especially our biggest alllies there, the UK, the northern countries, and France, depend on Brent.
Now, we might try to get the UK and France to intervene militarily, but we dont want to mess with "their" oil, or they will stop supporting us in our military quest to control "our" oil in Iraq and SA and the minerals of Afghanistan.
