Starting up an the Adult industry

I have only recently considered the value of the adult industry.

What are the best ways to startup etc.

What about location of servers etc, to prevent conflicting laws etc.

Can you buy ready made sites, or templates easily, and how do you know what they are worth?

.........conflicting laws? there are no "Conflicting laws" if everything you do is Legal, you'd only run into trouble if you start promoting child porn or stuff like that and running to a different country is no good either, the law will catch you there too.......

having that clear, welcome to the forum.........

Read up on 2257. That's where most of the technicalities are that can trip you up. The law on actual obscenity is:

Does it not have any political or artistic value?
        Does it violate community standards?
Does it appeal to a prurient sexual interest? A prurient sexual interest has been interpreted usually to mean: Does it in include shit and/or piss in a sexual context?

If a court finds you've violated the standards above, it can convict you for obscenity. In the past they tended to focus on the community standards clause and the prurient interest clause. The Internet has changed the rules. What is a "community" when you're not sending DVDs to any county or state? So they tend to focus more on 2257 violations. But that's not always the case. My understanding is Max Hardcore was recently indicted for puke and piss violations.

        Good luck.

Read everything you can find. Get a plan together and then get a lawyer to look over everything before you spend the first $1. Many of my newer clients end up wasting $10k plus before they get a lawyer and learn what they did wrong. There are too many risks with adult not to protect yourself.
