I wouldn't think that running a site that is about going super fast would be bad, but yeah those videos (more than just this one) kind of support the whole premise. Otherwise why not have a site called waycoolsexyexoticautos.com or some shit like that?
I think he likes to drive fast, plain and simple. I don't think he edited the video. That would defeat the purpose and eventually the real world people he is trying to impress would call him a fraud. I'm not trying to defend him and I personally believe it happend pretty much how it appears on the video. I'm wondering how this video could be used against him in court given the reasonable doubt I've addressed. As a photographer I find this issue pertinent and I wish to learn from his mistake and not duplicate it.Comment

Man after reading these posts about Rob it's CLEAR there's a lot of idiots out there. Biggest one being Rob himself.
Speed and fast cars are cool but on a freeway with other cars riding on it you have to be a complete MORON to do what Rob did, go use a track ASSCLOWN.
And for those who think this stunt was cool, well I sure hope none of you lose a friend or a loved one in a highway car accident that implies a stupid rich kid wanting to impress his friends by driving recklessly.

Rob's business is just starting to get attention. This has got to be the worst backfire ever. I personally don't fault him too much for the actual incident of driving that fast, I never understood why people are so upset about speeding but so forgiving about (IMHO) far more serious issues. I've heard of people going to jail for racing, and I've seen burglars get off with probation -- total insanity to me. Bottom line was no one was hurt, and he had some fun. On the other hand, the video including his picture and license plate, on his personal domain, was probably a bad ideaCBS 5 did locate one of the people associated with the video -- an Arizona State University student named Aaron, who didn't give his last name. He also refused to talk about the video.
Hopefully they don't go to hard on him, I wish him the best of luck...
This whole situation just really sucks all around.
To those who are strongly hating on him for doing this, I understand why you think that way and won't try and convince you any other way. I fully understand that anyone who thinks this is OK will never be able to convince someone who does not think this is OK.Comment

Besides... if it were me, I wouldn't shy away from the media if it were someone else driving, that's for sure. I would have been on the next newscast talking to the reporter. Innocent people have nothing to hide and being cooperative makes them look even more innocent.

tricky situation, I saw the video and have done some serious speeds back in Holland. And if you go that fast the stripes on the road look like one solid line, the trees on the side of the road look like a solid wall. In this video it does not appear like that.Comment

Good points, but the one thing that's coming to light is his dental career is being attached to it.
You have got to think he wants to play dentist again in the future. I don't think anyone out there looks at this as career choice to ultimate retirement.
With the internet, archiving, etc., this is something that lives forever and when Little Ms. Johnson starts looking at her dentist referral and googling to make sure he hasn't done anything inappropriate before sitting in that chair.... poof... loss of business... word of mouth will kill ya.
