I just read this from a guy who works for Google and wrote a book about Web Analytics. Enjoy

If are trying to create a blog that will create your unique brand, build an audience over time and create a voice for yourself then here are my recommendations:

# 10: Names, URL?s, Looks, Your Pictures Don?t Matter

# 9: Join BAGoT: Bloggers Against Globs of Text

# 8: Go for 6th grade level

# 7: Length and Frequency: Yours to define and control

# 6: StumbleUpon, Twitter, Google (SEO) matter, Digg matters less

# 5: Read spectacular blogs, find inspiration

# 4: Become very good (top 25% in the world) at two things

# 3: Don?t be a jerk / jerkess

# 2: Cultivate your audience: Create a dialog, respect their intelligence

# 1: Be remarkable

Thats great, here are my recommendations on becoming an olympic gold medal gymnast:

1: pick an event thats in the olympics and is gymnastics.

2: train really hard at that sport

3: make sure you get a world class coach that is awesome.

4: timing, dismount, strength - all yours to determine.

5: Wheaties box is really important, energizer commercial pays more.

6: Try not to attack your team mates with a crow bar - it hurts your team in the long run.

7: use hand chalk if necessary.

8: watch tapes of older olympic games, find inspiriation

9: become very good (top 2% in the world) at one or two events.

10: be a fantastic gymnast.
