The Web site had some 30,000 subscribers who paid $39.95 a month to visit the site, said David Thomas, the site's designer, who works for a Florida-based videography and photography business. The free teaser pictures of Sander and other women are very tame compared with the videos and pictures that come with subscription to the site, he said.
"She actually was one of the highest-climbing Web sites I had ever seen," Thomas said. "It was amazing; it was incredible."
The site's owner lives in Florida. Its administrator did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
Under Sander's contract with the Wichita-based company that hired her, she would be paid 45 percent of subscription revenues, Thomas said.
But Sander initially got just 5 percent of monthly revenues, with the rest going into an escrow account to be paid after she fulfilled the contract. Thomas said that is how contracts are enforced in the pornography industry.

Pardon me for trying to inject a little humor into what is a very serious thread, but when I saw the name Dave Thomas, the first thing that came into my mind was...well:
I'm guessing it was another Dave Thomas...trying to get 15 minutes of fame at the expense of others.
The news, and life in general, seem so bizarre and surreal to me at times.
I feel so sad for the family, and do hope this incredibly tragic saga is resolved soon...in as positive of a way as is possible.

I do have one question though. Her best friend said that she keeps calling her cell phone to hear her voice... Where is the cellphone??? I would think that it might be near or in close to her. I hope that the authorities have looked into that. If she was in serious danger I doubt that she would of let the guy know she had a phone on her.. Heck the dumbass sleezeball might have it on his person and may be using it.
As far as taking down her site I totally agree with you TT but I would in the meantime put up the message like trixie said or I would put up another website... 800 uniq a min...that's crazy traffic. As a possible avenue, Maybe you can setup a page on her domain with info, updated news, and maybe a Paypal collection for her family for whatever possible fees may occur. Just a thought so that maybe you can use the traffic for a positive during sure a dire time.

Yes i plan on this but at this time its impossible server just cant handle it. We have other tours on there and other affiliates to think about.
