not possible to hide the amount of traffic being passed.
you can hide the TYPE of traffic, but there is no way to hide the AMOUNT.

best bet is to try using wifi when it's available. hopefully that's an option for you.

A possibility could be to have something like a Windows VPS setup, which will play the movies/videos or whatever and then have a shared-screen-program, like Team Viewer to login to the VPS and watch the video being played.

That could potentially bring down the amount of data that you need to send/receive.

Your best best would be to lower the quality / speed of the streaming video. That or get some work done instead, that's what I do when I'm bored

Best to just look for someone with an unlimited data plan and buy out their contract. I have unlimited 4G on Verizon and while waiting for Internet to be setup at my office, I used the data from that. 11GB in 4 days which resulted in a nice number of calls from Verizon to change my plan or a discount on an upgrade.

I've read about people that use 50-60GB of BW and no issues, but when u go from 0 to 11GB it raises a red flag.

I bought a new iPad and put my SIM card in there and now have unlimited data on it ;)
