You are absolutely right, I was just coming back to correct myself on that. 401K withdrawals are taxed as ordinary income because you did not pay income tax on the money to start with, which is exactly my point! You have already paid income taxes on investment income at a higher tax rate, you just said it yourself, you should give up this thread now!
