and I suggested a free service. He asked what SERVICE we're using, not what provider. I use my own service, and responded accordingly.
It's not clear what his needs are, and what the VPN is for. Secure browsing from a coffee shop? Free ssh tunnel to one of your servers. Getting around restrictions, a proxy for viewing US video from another country, etc etc?? Something else.
