Craigslist scammers gree.. Reverse Phone Lookup PLEASE HELP!

I need help looking up a reverse number.
Wondering why?
Here is what happened:

I put up an ad on craigslist looking for tickets to a concert.
He called me saying he was selling 4 tickets for $50 each.
I told him i would send out the money when i could get to western union. He said ok and said he would send out the tickets overnight so i get them on time.
I asked him if i could send him $90 now and $110 after i received the tickets. He agreed and said no problem. I sent him his money, he confirmed he received it. Then he said "i called up fed ex and told them to put the package on hold until i receive the remainder of my money." Which was TOTALLY against our deal so i got weired out, i called fedex and they said they had no orders to my address and if it was on hold it would be in their record. So i questioned him about it and he would keep hanging up on me and cursing at me.

At this point im pissed and i threaten him by calling the police. I know its only $90 but its the principle that bothered me. He claimed he was a correctional officer and he wasnt going to put up with "my shit" he has grandkids.. i dont know why he mentioned that but anywho. I decided to do a little investigating with his name and number and i found this so far:

Anywho, his name is "Jeremy Sonny" i sent the money to him in mays landing, new jersey. But upon research it looks like he is from Newark?

If any of you can help me out i will greatly appreciate it. Not only do i want my money back but i want some justice.
I am going to miss my concert because of this guy and im out $90.

wow, i would never buy ANYTHING over craigslist unless it was local... everyone who I know who uses craigslist stays local with it... always meeting to sell something or pick something up... theres zero security in buying from CL otherwise....

Oh and i forgot to add, i was on the phone with him and i was recording the conversation. I was asking him why he changed the deal and to confirm his name and all i told him i lost who im sending it to. Then after he spilled the beans he freaked out and said "you are recording this arent you? fuck you" then hung up.

nothing wrong with buying off of craigslist, its just how you go about paying for it.

Never send cash, checks, or wire transfers no matter what site you buy from. Just use Credit card or paypal under $1000. Don't use epass either that is the same as cash. Or just meet the person or use escrow. Only way to go.

I suspect everyone is trying to scam me so I make sure to do the deal in a way I wont get fucked.

In your case the guy was scamming you. He tricked you into sending 1/2 because it gave you a false sense of security, like well he wants the other half of the money, so you think he will send it. he changed the terms hoping you would be suckered into sending the rest of the money. Hoping you would say, well i am 1/2 in now, i can't walk away with nothing I will give in and send him the rest of the money. Then he has all your money and he still sends you nothing.

fake id or stolen id ?? if they are professional scammers (most are) I am sure they thought this far ahead. If they have done this before they are likely no to leave a trail for you to follow. ( pre paid cell, fake id, etc..)

i had someone try to scam me on ebay. I was buying a seadoo boat and he assured me it had just been serviced and was in great condition and would provide documention showing this. I still wanted to hire someone to check it out and I was going to pay to have it hauled to me. He said it was already with a shipping company, he was storeing it there when he put it up for sale, and they would handle payment. He said they would contact me. I got an email from that company and it was very similar email to the legit company that was approved by ebay for shipping i think he added a " co " or " inc" to the end of his email address like, [email protected] and there was a real globall shipping company etc. ((( i dont remember the companys acutal name)) The email ( shipping company)gave me a US bank account number for me to do a wire transfer. I was to pay the shipping company. I noticed in the memo i was suppose to put some code or some shit, like egold:e3003 or something like that. I called the bank the said it was an ok account. I called the the real shipping company and i forwarded them the email, they said it was not one of their urls, and they never collect payment for items being bought or sold, only shipping fees. they said it was 100% bogus.

This guys scam was that the shipping company acted as escrow, they would hold the money and when the boat arrived i could inspect it, if i approved then they money would be given to him.

I could see how most people would fall for this. If i wouldn't suspect everyone as being a scammer i would have likely fallen for it, especially when the bank said the account was in good standing.

So i notified everyone else who bid on the auction and came in 2nd, 3rd place. I know these guys will go down the line and hit everyone. I warned them all it was a scam. Sure enough 2 weeks later someone replies back saying, you were right, i sent him the money and never heard back from them again. Jesus Christ i even tried to warn the idiot but he went through with it. The scammer gave him some story that i was disgruntled and was making up lies etc...

People need to take education classes before getting online, i can't stand these fucking scammers and as long as people keep falling for their scams these assholes will be out there.

That blows dude, but you should have known better, WU = scam 99.99% of the time...

I would write it off as a lesson learned, and move on... I guess you can file a police report, but you aren't getting your money back... they probably get bunch of reports like that, and they have better things to do than chase people down over $100 business deals gone bad...
