the third possibility is that you and your family have vivid imaginations and want to believe your home is haunted so you're embellishing things

the paranormal and the existence of God - there's zero evidence for any of it, i can't say it doesn't exist but until I myself see evidence of it i will be suspicious of anybody else who claims it exists until they provide conclusive evidence.
