    Is this type of redirect bad for me?

    would it be possible for google to penalize me for stuff like that?

    i have tons of redirects at the bottom of the page when i was testing out SEO stuff but i guess it didnt do me any good

      301 Redirects are Better Than the Meta Refresh Tag. Its doubtful your site will get delisted for using a refresh tag, but in all reality good site structure ...

                      Yep.... can't remember the source now (it's off the screen), but suggests it is coming from a domain starting with "soft" something - tho that could be misleading.

                      It may be worth downloading your front page and doing a scan with a proggy with up to date virus patterns - but make sure your local box is well secured first.
