Hank Williams Jr. calls Obama 'Muslim' who hates the U.S.
Country singing star Hank Williams Jr. told a crowd at the Iowa State Fair that President Obama is a Muslim "who hates the U.S," according to a story on Yahoo.
Williams' remarks came following chants from the crowd of "U-S-A, U-S-A," after he sang ?We Don?t Apologize For America,? according to a story in the Des Moines Register.
Williams, 63, answered back, the story said, with "We've got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!"
Williams has shown in the past he is not shy about making comments about the president, and, in one instance, it has cost him. He was fired by ESPN after 22 years of singing the opening theme for "Monday Night Football" when he comparing Obama to Adolph Hitler.
In April, during a performance at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, the singer shouted to the audience, "I don't give a s--- about Walt Disney, ESPN or Barack Obama!"
According to the Des Moines Register article, when asked for comment from the Obama campaign, spokesman Brad Anderson said in an email, "That type of absurd nonsense doesn't really deserve a response.
