Epassporte major changes?

One of our studios just relayed this to us.. surely this isn't for real? This is insane if so:

Dear ePassporte Account Holder,

For security purposes, ePassporte has recently modified the functionality of
your Account. Below is a list of changes which will take effect
immediately:

1. You may only receive money from the Sponsor that you obtained your
ePassporte Account from.
2. You will not be able to purchase ePassporte Gift Accounts.
3. Any requests to raise your ePassporte Limits must be communicated to
ePassporte by your Sponsor.

We hope that the above information is helpful and informative. If you have
any questions, please contact us by using the ePassporte Message Center or
the contact information listed below.

Its been happening across the board for the past two-three days.
Oddly enough all complaints I've heard so far were for cam-sponsors gift accounts.

ouch! Personally I like epassporte, but I'll only be able to get money from one sponsor, how good is it?
Do you guys know if it's happening to everybody, or just some accounts? I haven't gotten the email...

So basically they want to make it so everybody has to pay that initial $25 fee and give them either their CC info or bank account info if they want to actually use the service. That's how it looks to me.

Maybe it'll just be accounts that they have some reason to believe are shady or involved with scammers in some fashion? Fingers crossed.

This issue has caused $85,000 worth of payments for us this week to fail, so no, it's not just scammers.

Make new accounts have to create their account by loading the card.

In other words, no more topbucks, flashcash, pussycash, etc accounts made by the sponsor. Doing so makes it impossible to track who opened the account and whether or not they are legit.

Yeah, but some people may not want to give ePass their banking info because of all the bad reviews/reports of ePass dipping into people's bank accounts unauthorized. A quick google can bring up many such stories, so is it any wonder people may be hesitant to trust ePass with access to their other accounts?

They have millions of customers ofcourse they will have some bad reviews same with paypal. Fact is if you dont trust them with your info dont fucking use them, get paid by checks, wire, western union or whatever..

As far as AWE sponsored epassporte accounts are concerned, the restrictions have been lifted a few days ago, meaning all payouts were made as usual. Here's my post from the AWE board:

Dear affiliates,

After spending the last few days communicating with epassporte executives we are happy to inform you of the following update/resolution:

ePassporte has reverted the changes that were made to gift/sponsored accounts. That means your ePassporte account will function as normal and your payouts from AWE should arrive on time, as usual.

Shortly after that Michael also posted on gfy stating that the changes that were made have been reverted across the board.

Couldn't agree more.. This is ePass cutting out the fat, they should stick to their guns and be able to know who exactly they are accepting and moving money around for.
