I was on my bike coming home from my son's place. I was in an unfamiliar neighborhood and was stopped at a red light trying to figure out which freeway on ramp I should take to get home.
All of a sudden the loudest damn horn ever started blaring. I looked in my rearview mirror expecting to see a semi bearing down on me.
Nothing.
I swung my head around to my left.
Nothing.
The horn blared again, only louder and obviously closer. I was literally freaking out. I swung my head to the right and nothing was there.
WTF!!
The horn blared again and I then noticed the familiar sound of a train.
Damn train tracks ran above the road slightly behind me. In the darkness I didn't notice them.
I will admit, I was slightly shaken for a few seconds.
