Martin O Neill did wonders with Celtic. He took them to the Uefa Cup Final. Don't just dismiss an achievement like that. I'm a huge Celtic fan and I loved O Neill as our manager, but the way he left then took a full years salary from us before becoming Villa manager pissed me off.
He decided to leave therefore he should never have been paid by us. I think he'd make a good England manager but for me its gonna be Jose Mourinho.
I'm glad England are out of the tournament to be honest, they feel they have a divine right to be at every big tournament and they don't. Maybe this will deflate some of those huge egos!
Whats funny is Scotland finished with more points in our group than England did and we had the two teams who got to the World Cup Final in 2006.Comment

Celtic is a huge club, it should be in champions league like they are now with Strachan not the Uefa cup, a shite liverpool team won the UEFA a few years ago.
He's spent big at Aston Villa and hasn't really produced anything, he's a good manager with limited means, but give him cash he spends badly, what would he do with a national team? Play the stars probably.
I'd rather have Strachan than ONeill manage England, but that's not gonna happen, shame Strachan would kick some arse..
