    A study published this week in the Australasian Journal of Clinical Environmental Medicine warns that wireless communication technology may be responsible for accelerating the rise in autism among children.

    Autism is a disabling neuro-developmental disorder. Its cause is not completely understood, but it is linked to heavy-metal toxicity.

    Dr George Carlo, an expert on the dangers of electromagnetic radiation (EMR), who headed the world's largest research program on mobile phone health hazards in the 1990s, revealed the autism-wireless technology connection following a series of tests on autistic children monitored during 2005 and 2006.

                  Funny, they say living under highvoltage power lines has no adverse effects, but my WiFi can screw with ya....

                  I'll wait for a real study to come out on the subject.

                                                          Sounds unlikely to me, they're always trying to pin the cause of autism on something. If this study had any serious validity they'd have managed to get it published in a slightly more prestigious journal than "Australasian Journal of Clinical Environmental Medicine"

                                                                  There's a lot of thought behind what causes autism... everything from gluton levels and tolerances to vaccinations.

                                                                  And each of them have their own studies to back the theories up.

                                                                  I wouldn't put much faith in this one until a bit more work's been done.
