I'm a former US Marine who fully believes in his 2nd amendment. But I live in the real world - Do you really think your fucking gun is going to protect you if you get robbed? You watch way too much fucking TV.
The cop who was shot and killed today was a fully trained police officer with a firearm and he still got shot dead. Having a firearm doesn't mean you'll be protected, able to get the first shot off, or that you'll even see it coming.
I love the gun nuts who say "Well, if there was someone in the theatre it would have ended different". No, not really. Lots of people would have died. Anyone who thinks the average armed civilian is going go from eating popcorn to taking on an unknown amount of shooters in a dark movie watches WAY too much fucking TV>
