Anyone recommend some good anti-spam mods for phpbb?

Anyway, at General Admin, at Configuration you see General Configuration with Enable Visual Confirmation - Requires users enter a code defined by an image when registering. Use that one. Also for the Anti Spam Security Question and Anti Spam Security Answer , try working there, write questions, but not obvious ones, like how many days a week has, where scripts can detect, but a bit more complicated, however simple for human users who want to register. You get the idea ... if not try to put at Site Description a number or word at the end, and ask at the Anti Spam Security Question for users to insert that number/word they see above in Description. It should work in the end, if the spammers don't add spam manually ... I used a foreign language (the board was for foreigners) and got rid of any spam. After you put something, wait for 1-2 days if you still get spam, then switch to something else.

I used to run a phpBB board and visual confirmation wasn't enough to stop the spammers. They had intelligent bots capable of decoding phpbb's built-in captchas and I had to write a custom one :s
