it sounds right but why did he not say 2 grand (well that's what i would say)
i would be more inclined to use quid most of the time
example
1 = quid
2 = 2 quid
3 = 3 quid
4 = 4 quid
5 = fiver
10 = tenner
but if it had pence i would say
.50 = ten bob
1.10 = 1 pound 10
2.60 = 2 pound 60
3.45 = 3 pound 45
4.95 = 4 pound 95
5.50 = 5 pound 50
10.41 = 10 pound 41
