    Video Editting

    I have windows Xp, and I use pinnacle to edit my video trailer whenever I feel the need to be proactive, and get more involved with the production of my site. I mostly edit them to post in my blog, and self promote myself.

    but I am getting bored with pinnacle and how limited the features are in it. Wondering what other programs out there that easy to use for someone who is not really experienced in editing videos. I hate windows movie maker, but I am looking for something similar to pinnacle just has more text, and and editing capability but also won't give me a migraine trying to figure out how everything works.

              It's really a very simple and intuitive program to work with. Drag and drop. Don't be scared off by the "pro" looking interface. If you don't want/need all the complicated features, ignore them.

                                  How can u say it's complicated?? WTF??

                                  it just takes half hour to figure out the basics.. if you don't want vegas, then it's because you are too lazy.. but don't invent dumb excuses..

                                              I tried Vegas back around version 3.0 and I have been a long time Adobe Premiere user and I think either one is fairly easy to learn if you put a hour or so of reading into it with the manual or you get yourself a Premiere Pro for Dummies book. There are a lot of features one doesn't normally use, but for basics, it's pretty obvious, mostly dragging and dropping, and selecting sections of clips in different windows all visible to you. You wouldn't go wrong with either program and you will be ready to edit hdv too if you go that route.

                                                  Vegas is easy and intuitive to learn.

                                                  As said... do not let the Pro interface confuse you.

                                                  It is easy to learn quickly... Ignore all the things you do not need at first.
                                                  Just pretend they are not even there.
