Isn't that what all the Baptist preachers preaching fire and brimstone spout during their sermons every Sunday?
That's the part I just don't get. This seems to be nothing much more than a guy who believes in stupid shit (religion).
Last I checked...most people in the USA believe that crazy shit too.
Where's the controversy?
I could pretty much guarantee you that this Sunday in every fundamentalist church in America the subject is going to be Chik-Fil-A and the "evil" of homosexuality.
Tens of millions of Americans will sit in those pews and nod their heads in agreement. Including the owner of Chik-Fil-A
Where is the big controversy here? I still just don't see it.
I personally think religion is right up there with believing in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy. I also think that if two dudes love each other and want to get married...who cares? It's not hurting anybody.
But I don't see where the guy that owns Chik-Fil-A doesn't have the right to have his misguided beliefs and/or donate to anybody or anything he wants to.
As far as I know, his company has never discriminated against gay people in any way.
And his chicken sandwiches are tasty as hell (there aren't any out here in Vegas damn it)
I just think that the religious nutcases are going to be all fired up because the leftist nutcases tried to make a mountain out of a molehill. And now they are going to get that mountain.
Probably end up causing even more anti-gay sentiment amongst people.
