Ever read a really stupid thread with no point on GFY?

I'm incredibly disappointed at the lack of content; hell, when a thread is just a cut and paste from Yahoo! News, it's a 'better' thread than many of those created, these days.

What ever happened with self-policing from creating entirely retarded threads? You don't get 'cool points' for making pointless threads; the best you'll get is the ability to edit your own tagline and a different color attached to your name.

Please, people, stop posting entirely retarded threads: If you have nothing to say but are compelled to post, bump something.

What is wrong with some pointless threads. Lots use gfy like a water cooler and or general chat room. I do plenty of business here however I also come here often just to take a break and shoot the shit for entertainment value.

There are very few places that I can find a designer, find a new income source, and get a potato salad recipe within minutes of each other.

Yes some do post some just fucking strange or annoying threads, then of course some will duplicate such thread trends to attempt to be funny but those are easily ignorable. I would just rather have pointless conversations here than digging through twenty contest threads.
