i am launching a new paysite in a couple months and have 2k to spend on marketing. What would you do. It is multiple solo girl niche. Any advice is appreciated.

advertise your program on the busy webmaster boards and getyourself some webmasters to promote it -
It depends, is your goal to get a strong affiliate base, or build up your own internal traffic to the sites first.
For building up an affiliate base, I'd go with what Ben said, for building up internal traffic, I'd buy some gallery spots and text links on some larger TGPsComment

Spend the $2k on prizes and have a few contests all over the place. Use the boards and some press releases to get the word out. Should work out nicely. If you intend to launch an affiliate program, focus your efforts and money on recruitment. Otherwise, purchase top spots on major TGPs.

use the 2k to advertise the contest to be on set for the next updates in content. serve pizza and beer. the boys will come. then they will tell their friends because hey they were there. it will be a high point for them. a real part of the whole thing. even give away a few 2 month memberships in contests. and what everyone else said. personally im still waiting to see the auctions on ebay for such things as "light guy on my porn shoot" and such.ICQ=360616223Comment

well...he didn't ask where to buy traffic...he asked how to start out. He still is 2 months out from launch, and when he gets to beta stage, he'll likely be looking for traffic purchases then to test "tweaks"
As far as what kind of traffic, I would start out with gallery spots on something like Teen package, Candy List and Badass/18to19.. that would fit his budget with the new affiliate program promotion we're running right now as well. That would leave him $160 to spare to get some templates done, or a selection of buttons and banners for his SIGComment
