Fully agree.
I have been attending to at least one show per year since 2003 always as affiliate, to 3 this year including a trip to Phoenix from Spain where i live, that is expensive and time consuming but worth it every $ and minute expended. I'll go to Amsterdam and Prague too this fall.
Of course don't expect others to fully share their strategies to an estranger on your first show, but you can exchange info and knowledge and get valuable hints while you build that relationships that will help you in future shows.
Also next time you talk by icq or skype with one of the guys you have met there, you both won't be just a nick to each other but a friendly face.
Beisdes the contacts i have made, that imho is key on the online business, after every show I come back full of new ideas and full of energy from talking with others about what they have done to succeed. If they have done it, why won't I? My motivation to work harder is at the top after every show.
Way different feeling than reading all the "porn is over" threads here at gfy. Also you will be surprised about how good guys are some joker characters of this forum. It's not the same to hide after a nick here to have some fun and to troll than to talk face to face.
