                                                                                                              Green and clear bottles allow hop oils to be subject to certain wavelengths of radiation (mostly from the sun) that allow the oils to turn or "skunk" (usually to a detectable level after just minute or so's length of time).

                                                                                                              Ever wonder why it's "cool" to squeeze a lime in a Corona? The genius that came up with that gimmick deserves every cent he's ever earned.

                                                                                                              Green bottles allow the same radiation to pass through them that clear bottles do.

                                                                                                              Brown/Opaque bottles are the way to go.

I've also heard that Heinie isn't bad beer if you drink it fresh... and I'm sure it's the same way with Grolsch... just don't trust the packaging - so why spend my money on a product where the marketing guys have more of say in the end product than the quality control guys.

I'm drinking Natty Light cans that night... beer is beer and is always better than water - even if it tastes similar to water... and Grolsch is way better than Natty Light... which is about as close as you can get to water without actually being water.
