By what measurement? Apple DWARFS Facebook in pretty much every significant measurement. It's already the largest company (by market capital) on the planet and will probably be the first to hit a TRILLION dollars. Facebook is worth what? 70 billion?

Facebook's dev platform is social...sure...but it's a joke compared to iOS.

As far as the social game goes? Apple would rather let Twitter and Facebook handle that stuff. Hence the OS level social integration.

They have absolutely zero reason to try and compete with Facebook on Facebook's playing field.
