    Man loses his job because of his past in porn

    I am sure many of you know Chef Jeff. He was fired from his job due to his past with porn....this totally blows. How can a fucking employer fire you over your past employment? I would not doubt it if the complaining party views porn. The Father was worried about him teaching his wife and daughters tennis lessons...yea, right!

                          You are right. We are a right to work state and they can do pretty much what they want at any time. It really sucks and I am sure he has an attorney. I hope he gets the chance to spank them hard in the wallet.

                              you should always remain in a (company) needs you more than (contractor) needs them situation if you want to avoid getting the rod in the ass for anything. you have more flexibility working in non corporate self proprietor companies.

                              always remember, you are your own product, brand, and company. owners make decisions that benefit the company as a whole. you should also make yours in the favor of your brand, product, and you.

                                                          you know folks, there are many many other industries that don't give a fuck about what we do. i've had several offers from related industries in the past 6 months. one was a large music company. panavision was another one. damn near anyone associated with pop culture can give a shit. if you want to run a day care, ehhhh you might have some issues, but its not adult or nothing.

                                                          there are plently of mainstream places you can work.

                                                                      If you're doing this for beer money and shits or giggles until you get a "real job." You could very well be fucking up your future.

                                                                      This community has deluded itself into thinking certain things are okay, just because it goes on here day after day.

                                                                      Honestly, if I were running a mainstream company, there aren't too many people from GFY I would hire. I don't want someone in management in my company who thinks pics like goatse and ******* are funny...or the people on here who create fake drama, because they think they're some kind of internet marketing genius.

                                                                      This career choice can and will haunt you, especially if you attempt to get a job in any field that involves security checks, or working in government.

                                                                          Same thing happened to me. It'll happen to others. Hell I'll even name names.

                                                                          In 2001 I was hired by J&P Cycles as a webmaster/marketer/guru. Took their websales from $25k a month to well over $1million. Put their huge ass 700+ page catalog on CD. All kinds of cool shit.

                                                                          Then Jill Parham (John's wife) found out I had done some work on adult websites. Now the official reason I was fired was I had a problem getting along with people outside the company (wtf). But it was common knowledge
                                                                          that I was let go because of the work I had done in the past.

                                                                          Hell when I filed for unemploment, they challeneged it, but didn't show for the hearing.

                                                                          Now the funny thing is, these actions were from a bunch of old has been bikers that made some money. Fucking white trash that forgot where they came from. They advertise in Easyrider magazine, but god forbid one of the people they hired ever took a picture of a nekked woman.

It sucks but it's a private company and they can hire and fire who they want. Everyone hates the government, well they say they do, but they sure want the government to rule over what private companies can and can't do. You can't have both, either the government controls you and your business or it doesn't. I prefer it doesn't. Let the people decided if something is stupid. We have a pretty good way of boycotting shit we don't like.

                                                                                                      also, i don't understand the argument he's making in that televised interview, he's saying the city has demonized him by terminating him.

                                                                                                      the city simply exercised their right to choose.

I think in the end he will know who his accuser was and at that point, if I was in his shoes, I would dig up all their dirt and expose them. Who knows?.maybe the accuser has skeletons he does not want others to know about.

                                                                                                                                                                  Right, and correct me if I'm wrong here, but doesn't federal discrimination laws only apply to protected groups. As far as I understand it, you can't discriminate against somebody for employment because of race, religion, color, disability, etc etc .. However you can just not like somebody or actions they may have taken without it being protected as discrimination.
