Dollar tanks to 1.46 to the euro

We'll easily reach 1.50 by X-mas it seems

Finally some eyes are opening:
CNBC reported yesterday that the dropping dollar is BAD for the US economy, might be good for exports, but it's bad for the overall economy

when is this disaster going to stop?
impeach the fucker, stop spending so much money in Iraq, stop the tax exemptions for the über rich, sue Halliburton and co for war profiteering

or do we need to go to 2 dollar to a euro???

When we get out of the middle east (IMHO)

The dollar is weak IMO for the same reason that oil is drastically high.
It's not about supply and demand, it's about "risk premium"

Once we start pulling our troops out of the middle east and get a president who stops talking about the possibility of "world war three" people will shift from panic mode back to fundamentals and things will stabilize.

first off, none of the Democrats if elected, even Hillary, will attack Iran, on the Republican side, you have a couple

according to oil traders, the biggest factor in the high oil price now is an impending war with Iran
if that happens, they expect it to jump to $160 a barrel

I disagree.
Hillary is a hawk, she's just as hawkish as the current administration.

She doesn't think that the war in Iraq was "morally wrong" she just thinks it's been terribly mismanaged.
A vote for Hillary is basically just a vote for the same foreign policy we've had for the past 7 years, but with more competent people implementing it.

-also the Senators, not one of them had the courage to support House members in their protest
-the "liberal" press should never have accepted this

We didn't have all the information we have now. It was a total clusterfuck.

Was the Senate supposed to declare Gore the President? On what basis?

Gore sued Bush in state court, Bush sued Gore at the supreme court, the supreme court handed down a decision and most of us were just glad the whole thing was over.
No matter what they had decided at least half of the country was gonna be pissed about it.
