The first CD i ever got was an upgrade of the self titled Violent Femmes album I had on cassette, that had been chewed up in the player more times than you could ever imagine
First album I ever bought was KISS "Love Gun", although a friend (a few years older than me) had given me the first three KISS albums.
I was about 7 or 8 at the time, and mom and dad were die hard "If it ain't country, it ain't music" types. I somehow talked mom into letting me get it. I think with money from my birthday or Christmas.
First album I bought was KISS - Dressed To Kill, still have it around here somewhere.. The strange things mothers keep, knowing their sons will ask about it 30 years later.. :D
I hate Cliff Richard. The real first record i Ever bought was Pink floyd Dark side of the moon and I think the second was Piper at the gates of dawn which i still have...lol
I was a cassette tape kid but I forgot the first I ever bought, I think it was Dokken of GRN Appetite but the first CD I ever bought was Body Count...still have it. Remember when CDs used to come in those big cardboard boxes?
my first was Pearl Jam's Vitalogy. i was one of the only girls in my high school that listened to 'alternative music', and i've never gone back to mainstream. although i don't listen to rock these days...who even makes rock these days? i mostly just listen to electronic music now

Wha??? Who even makes rock? Good god woman. Electronic music is just fake BS. Take a look around, great rock music is still out there just not on the radio.
you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..
I just played some KISS songs for my 12 year old niece the other day and she looked at me like I was an alien. She only knows them from the Gene Simmons Family Jewels show.
I believe my first album was "Ace of Spades" from Motorhead on vinyl...
Besides that the First tape I had recorded - my very fist copyright infridgment was Iron Maiden from one side and Metallica on the other, can't remember the albums though.
I guess those were "No Prayer for the dying" from IM and the 88 Metallica album with "The One" on it, am retarded in the morning can't get the name.
But I played that over n over n over n over, I can remember those golden metal moments playing that on my grandmothers casette player back in the room with my older cousins who all had long hair and jeans jackets..
