    What is Cross Sale?

    Can someone please explain what a cross sale is?

    What I think a cross sale is:
    Say if i have a paysite and when a visitor is signing up, in the billing page it will have something like:

    "Sign me up for a 1 day trial Membership to sleazy. com for $1.00. After 1 day, Membership renews automatically at $29.95 every 1 month. Terms and Conditions"

    Am i correct? If not then can someone explain what a cross sale is and what is the thing called that i talked about above?

    Whats the benefit of a cross sale?

      One type cross sell is when you sell a membership for your site, and then, inside your member's area, you offer membership on another person's membership site.

          how much would i be able to buy a cross sale for? like is there a average range? 25 bucks a crosssale?

                  No... you have an affiliate program.

                  The other sponsor signs up to your affiliate program, and you sign up to his.

                  If a member on your site joins his site, you get the affiliate sales commision and he gets a new member minus the affiliate commision.

                  If a member on his site buys a membership from your site, you get the new member minus the commission to the other site.

                  btw - the type of sale that you mentioned in your first post is called an "Up Sell". You can also have Upsells in your member's area - where you offer more things to buy (normally at a discount) to your members.
