I would say this serves as an example to anyone with kids who try to push their racist views on their children.
It?s a new day and teens nowadays are better educated ? more informed and have access to vast wealth of information? in short they are not going for it.
I live in an affluent neighborhood and recently my preteen daughter had a sleep over with a bunch of kids from the neighborhood. One of her friends from a very well of family went on and on about how much she secretly despises her dad for trying to push his racist views on her? she even called him stupid. Her dad never graduated from high school but made a fair amount of money in the fencing business.
It was ironic that this man had told her everything he could in hopes of making her dislike blacks and here she was at our home telling us (a black family) how much she hates him for it. She said for the most part she just nods her head and agrees but can?t wait to get away from him lol

I mean, if people are offended by the word, then that means in their mind they connect it to mean black people when really we should be moving towards that word not even being associated with race, if anything. Because someone knows that the N word is a racial epithet against black people means they're racist on some level, maybe without even knowing it? No way. Not a chance.

WET is every other channel on TV. Thing that sucks about BET, is that it does not portray black people correctly. Hell, BET is not even ran or owned by black people.
What dog said was racist. He showed his true colors. Your ex-coworker may have been a bit racist but i think she's just trying to instill black culture into her kids. nothing wrong with that. Now, if she also teaches her kids to hate white people, then that's fucked up. You can educate your kids about race and not raise them to be racist.

How do you teach someone white culture? In my opinion white people don't really have any culture. Pointing out any differences between races could be seen as racist. Everyone is so PC these days. Since we're talking about racism and children, i actually put my son in a private school with mostly white people ON PURPOSE (i think you've all figured out by now that i'm black). I want him to be culturaly diverse and have friends of all races. I dont want him to only hang around black people and only pick up 'black' traits so to speak. It's the little things you do in your childs life that make a big difference. Those little things can affect them negatively or positively. When i was a child, i was raised in the hood. Had roaches, rats, you name it, i had it. However, my father made sure that on weekends I was hanging with his white co-workers kids. I even had white adults that i use to hang out with and they didn't even have kids. The point is, it exposed me to things outside of the hood and broadened my way of thinking. Now, i'm well balanced. He made sure i didn't become a product of my environment. I can step into a corperate situation and handle myself perfectly. I can walk through the hood at night and be fine also. The problem with the way a lot of parents raise their children is they only expose them to their culture, their traditions, and they dont know anything else. if they dont hang around people outside of their culture, then they will remain ignorant to other races. When he tries to bring a black friend home and his racist father frowns on it, it's sending him a message that black people are bad, just like Dog does. It starts with the parents. Racism is passed down, it's not genetic. If we raise our kids right, the world will be a better place.
I mean this for black people also. Make your child think outside of the box. Don't take away their chances of success because they are to scared to befriend a black person. I know black people who say they refuse to do business with white people, yet they are barely making it and living check to check. I have worked around MOSTLY white people my entire career. Me being open minded has placed a lot of money in my pocket. Money is green, that's the color that really matters.

It was not difficult to spot "dog's" tv personallity - he was constantly pausing his rants to think about what he was going to say and where the cameras were.
Having socalized with many different people I have witnessed some very grim "closet racist." One person in particular was a US Marshal. After hearing some of his stories it was easy to understand where the fustration came from. Even though he would drop an N-bomb in every other sentance, I don't feel he hated "black people" - just the bottom feeders he dealt with every day.Comment

It no longer infers the things it used to say, during the slavery days. in addition to his long rant about not having his kids black girlfriend come around because they all use the word "n1gger" too much... he also said something on the tape like "i'm not going to let you date a ni|gger and if you are, you're going to have to find a different job" so its not a life lesson or personal opinion.... not to mention the fact that its highly illegal and most likely the kids phone is ringing off the hook with high profile labor attorneys offering to sue on contingency.
of course his private life has a bearing on his professional life. that is true of everyone. when you put yourself out there as being a standup guy, full of love and god, preach non-stop that you are doing gods work and doing a good thing... then get caught telling your kid "youre not going to date a n|gger" - then people stop buying into the entire premise of the show and his character... and they should.
like i have said before. i believe that its not the word "n1gger" that freaks people out. i think that deep down its just the "train wreck factor" that peaks peoples interest. we want to see people fuck up. we want to see people fail. we want to see people get hurt and there couldn't have been more than 5 people on the planet who didnt see this white trash moron and think "wow.... something is really wrong here" - and they like seeing that inner sense confirmed.Comment
