now that is funny you posted that cause i had that exact discussion with a friend of mine not more then a week ago. it went along the lines of, if 2 people live together for a decent amount of time and decide to part, who would get what and what would be the financial outcome? now keep in mind that one person carried more of the financial weight for more years then the other, HOWEVER the other person is now making more money then their partner which now means that the person making more is carrying more of the financial burden and can provide slightly better. how would a judge rule?
keep in mind, the 2 never married.
