anyway.... yeah, there's a few states that recognize common law.... but only after several years, and still... unless you're tied legally by that piece of paper, you're single. "Common law commited relationship" is not an option on your taxes.
Regardless... if you wanna look at having a girlfriend as not being single, great.... whatever works for ya. I can tell ya though, married and/or divorced people have a different outlook... married is not-single, anything else is single.
