Listen I can tell you practical everyday advice you can do RIGHT NOW to help you quit. I quit after my heart attack without any "aid" other than common sense.
RIGHT NOW I guarantee you that within your arms reach is your pack of smokes and lighter. Now get up, carry them to another room in your house, as far from your computer as possible. Up or down a flight of stairs is best. Set the pack and lighter there and come back to the computer.
You see, now when you do that "automatic reach" for a smoke, you realise they're not there, you are forced to think about the choice you are going to make because now your choice is to get the fuck up and walk where they are, pull one out, light it, and walk back.
It's ok if you do that, in fact you're GOING to do that until you run out of smokes.
Now if you say "thats too hard" then you are NOT even trying so just stop posting about it. If you ARE doing that, then good for you. The next step is butting them out sooner and letting your ashtrays pile up with butts. Go ahead, leave them piled up. Because when you run out of smokes, after you delay and delay and delay getting up and getting your very last smoke, you're going to be going apeshit for just one puff. Then you're going to go fish out a butt from your ashtray. Your'e going to save and hoard those too until you only have one puff left on one butt and you delay and delay smoking it all day long and then you wont have any more of the fucking things in your life ever again.
And if you can't do that, you arent trying and you dont want to quit and nobody wants to hear about it. So good luck.
I smoked for about 35 years and quit a couple of years ago. If you can't match or beat me, you aren't trying!
