A heap of unsubstantiated claims parading as journalism once again trying to link porn to child exploitation and (let's call it what it is) rape.

This crap makes all sorts of references which, from the words the paper is using, are unverified and cannot be until "the report comes out in September". Will they be verifiable there? Will we find a causative link between adult content and child rape at that point? I highly doubt it.

I don't doubt that many of the things described and reported by "an officer" and others have happened. The world is full of sick fucks.

But their causative agent is falsely modelled. If eleven year-old boys are raping, then investigate the parents, the siblings, the households and families. You'll find "the problem" there.

Online porn doesn't magically transform well-raised children and even badly raised children into sex-abusive monsters unless maybe they're already abused.

And even then, you have to look into the abusers. Not material they might come across while surfing...

I looked for GI Joe on Google, did ten pages, "Safe Search" off, both links and images, couldn't find a thing...

lol now that would be against principles.

As bad as the "anti-porn" wanna-bans, no?

I've run history and deeper searches on my kids' computers and found nothing. I *was* worried about all the claims that porn is easy to find, comes in via spam, is communicated via Facebook, yaddayadda, but I'm not anymore.

My children haven't come across WhoreAbuse or Kink or Wasteland in any kind of search, apparently, even when unsupervised for hours at their machines.

I get spam for penis pills, fake Rolexes viagra, fake Vuiton purses, even the friggin' White House, but not from porn producers - not even from those Czech beastiality people (I did once but now I don't).

And I work in the industry? Shouldn't I expect more bad porn crap?

I think this sensationalistic shit is just that, and worth paying attention to only insofar as it should be objected to, fought, and not made to provoke bad laws.

I'm venting here because I have always ignored it and now am bugged by such a ridiculous article and claim by such a huge source of "news"....

:D
