If this is staged then he is certainly NOT a king at marketing. This is going from the penthouse to the dog house directly. Getting your show cancelled and having to go from TV star to back having to actually do bond work again would likely kill him.Look at all the sheep!
You all work in an industry where marketing is king - yet you fail to see good marketing when it smacks you in the face. Dog is the king at marketing and right about now his name is being splashed on message boards everywhere and is all over TV.
I'm guessing this was all staged.

First time I watched that show (by accident, it was something on after a show I wanted to watch) I was amused, pretty much until they pull in to a prayer circle to ask for god blessing on the hunt. Then I knew that these people were pretty much nut jobs and it was going to get stupid.
For the most part, the show is a religious bully pulpit, where "reformed" criminal Chapman can put out his brand of action, damnation, and redemption one small minded criminal at a time. Many of the early episodes were super preachy, but wrapped with enough action to keep the masses watching.
Then Larry King caught on to the bandwagon (as that old fart often does) and Dog suddenly went from guy with a show on cable to a cable-celeb. Other things happened including getting arrested himself, and his legend was born. That whole situation has been milked for every drop, including teary visits to larry king and a full hour near mocu-mentary about the whole thing. Dog was (is) the single largest franchise in A&E history, their original reality driven TV show that all their other attempts (such as King of Cars) are based around.Comment

here's a novel idea... maybe the kid... the young kid that barely knew his dad, got pissed after his new dad told him that he can't date a "hahahahahaha' and sold the tape to the national inquirer for what was probably well worth 1/2 a mil or so and is now quite happy to not be a part of this white trash morons life.Comment

I think the bigger issue at play here is that all the "god and love your fellow man" stuff that dog has been spewing on the show appears to be nothing but crap. He loves his fellow man unless that man is a (n-word) whore. Then he doesn't trust them, love them, or want his son involved with one of them.

If and when we're all mixed, we won't all be one color. The more human populations mix, the MORE genetic variation is created. It's basic biology that any geneticist can attest to so I don't know why mainstream outlets keep telling us we'll all be mocha some years down the road. Go to places like Mexico, Brazil, and Egypt where all races have lived an intermixed for generations - you'll see all shapes, sizes, colors. And like cops, the Dogster gets exposed to the darker side of society (honestly, no pun intended or implied) every day. He sees the scum, the backstabbers, the abusers and the losers. It rubs off on you whether you want it to or not.
In no way am I condoning his attitude or words in ANY way - he's a racist idiot period. But it is a sad reality that his kind of job makes it very, very hard to stay objective.Comment

I would say this serves as an example to anyone with kids who try to push their racist views on their children.
It?s a new day and teens nowadays are better educated ? more informed and have access to vast wealth of information? in short they are not going for it.
I live in an affluent neighborhood and recently my preteen daughter had a sleep over with a bunch of kids from the neighborhood. One of her friends from a very well of family went on and on about how much she secretly despises her dad for trying to push his racist views on her? she even called him stupid. Her dad never graduated from high school but made a fair amount of money in the fencing business.
It was ironic that this man had told her everything he could in hopes of making her dislike blacks and here she was at our home telling us (a black family) how much she hates him for it. She said for the most part she just nods her head and agrees but can?t wait to get away from him lol
clearly dogs son is pretty smart and set his dumb ole day up

i dont think people care that much at all.
i think its just a convienent buzzword that hides the bigger truth... that people drawn to the fact that a celebrity is having a complete and total meltdown. its not about the word at all.
we like watching people fuck up, we like seeing cars crash, we like watching poeple get hurt (most pro sports) and we like seeing people who are popular and respected go down in flames.
this guy was always a little bit off. him and his kids were action and adrenaline junkies that made a living getting violent offenders out of jail and pretending to do the world a service by capturing them once they skipped. then they go through this BS routine on the show of doing a little "profile" on the guy as if no one knew who he was, what he was about, what his record was etc. in fact, they are doing this where? inside the office of the bail bond office that bonded him out.
then there is the fact that he is an ex con, preaching about peace and love but still clearly a chain smoking, mullet wearing weirdo that also loves the action. he looks weird. if you were having a birthday party for your kids, you would be real concerned seeing this guy walking down the sidewalk with his raspy voice, mullet and pot belly showing through his unbuttoned leather vest.
somewhere deep inside all of us, the little red flags were raised.... little alarms are going off and our senses were telling us that he was fucked up.
