Kicking the nicotine addiction is the easiest part. It's all the other damn addictive chemicals they add in to cigarettes that make it extremely difficult.

And nicotine itself - while classified as a poison - isn't actually life threatening or particularly dangerous - so long as you're not a moron and don't OD.

There are many factors involved in quitting smoking. I've had moderate to good success by using electronic cigs but always end up smoking again for various reasons. The number 1 reason is because I use smoke breaks to step away from work for a few minutes and let my eyes adjust on something else. And I feel like a fool going outside to puff away at my e-cig ><

One time I finally made the decision to quit. I made it just over 3 weeks. I started again because my I ran out of e-liquid and it just so happened that the shipment I was waiting for got lost in customs for over a month. I'm currently trying again.

The one thing I have learned throughout my trials is that you have to be ready to quit. No matter how hard you try, no matter what you do, if you are not ready to quit then you won't.
