you must remembver that its a uk law and can only apply to those in the uk.

the reason being is that we (in the uk) have a law that goes back a lot of years that was set up to protect phone operaters from abuse. this is the time when you had to phone an operator to be put through to somone. however the wording of the law for some reason applies to the net. also under uk l;aw there are things that you are not alowed to transmit (originaly only applied to radio/tv, but totay its being applied to the net). these are what people in the uk are being prosecuted on.

so if somone in say germany trolls you, they cannot be prosecuted (unless germany has such laws).

in truth this law is 'proberbly' more about the uk goverment looking as if they are doing somthing, rather than achiving anything.

its unlikly to stop people.

you alsop have the interpritation of what being a troll is. ie, some people set up facebook pages if somone they know has died. then get upset when people post somthing rude. to be i would never set such a page up as to me its rather tacky, and in truth i do not have sypothy if your page gets twits posting on it.
