I have a diet coke or coke zero maybe once a week if even. I've been drinking 70% water / 30% juice now for about 5 years. I dunno, I just like watered down juice.
it's well known that many kids outgrow asthma and allergies and that has nothing to do with soda
And it's well known that drinking lots of soda cures and prevents many diseases and illnesses. Didn't you ever see Doc Hollywood? Where Michael J. Fox is about to have that kid airlifted to some fancy hospital to have his chest cavity cut open for some kind of mitral valve regurgitation heart surgery. Then the old doctor strolls in and gives the kid a coke, because it was only a stomach ache the kid got from eating his dad's chewing tobacco? The carbonic acid component of the soda relieved his stomach ache.
In the past 100 years our life expectancy has increased a lot, so has the crap we eat. So the stuff that is supposed to kill us seems to be having the opposite effect!

Then why is our generation on pace to become the first in history to have a shorter average lifespan that the previous one? As more and more processed foods along with fast foods became part of the American diet, obesity rates have soared. Most of the increase in life expectancy over the last 200 years is attributed to medical care advancement and overall living conditions along with a reduction in smoking.
"WTF, on google you can find the answer to every question in human history, EXCEPT how to convert cams..

Long ago when I worked for a tech company a guy I worked with drank a full 2 liter of Pepsi every day. We worked graveyard and he said he needed the caffeine, but admitted he did the same during his days off.
After I had been there for a while several of us decided to stop drinking anything caffeinated. No soda, coffee nothing but water. He was one of us. While many of us got headaches because we drank a lot of coffee about halfway through the first no caffeine shift he looked like a junky on withdrawals. He was pale and shaking and looked sick. He made it until just past lunch and gave up.
I made it and never looked back. Without the caffeine I had more energy and didn't have the highs and lows anymore. To this day (now about 16 years later) I still very rarely drink caffeine and almost never drink soda unless it has whiskey in it.
