its highly improbable that someone could be prosecuted for pics with a white powder. you on the other hand, can be easily prosecuted being that you not only broke the law and every detail of that can be verified via server records... but you admitted it all on a public forum, spelling it out in enough detail.

I've been on a campaign eliminating Rapidshare content/links from various boards. There was one board in particular that I was working tonight which I had a poster who just wouldn't stop his rapidshare posts. (Most had given up after they had gigs of content removed from their 300 page+ threads). This guy is one of the largest posters on that board.. so I stepped it up a notch and googled his username. Ironically, the third entry in google was a shared password site where someone else has cracked his user/pass on a paysite. I figured what the hell and tried the combo on the rapidshare board. It worked. After removing his updated threads with content from Sapphic Erotica, FTV Cash, Diesel Action and various others.. I changed his email/pass in profile and locked him out of the account. Curious again.. I punched the same user/pass into his gmail account. Now mind you.. he is posting as a woman on this board... It works again and HE has lots of attachments...I made the mistake of clicking on one of the messages with attachments.... and you guessed it... He's in a very large CP ring with a ton of email addresses.

I logged out immediately... all done using a high-anonymous proxy server.. but if I report him to the authorities, can I get in trouble for compromising the accounts? I never thought there would really be any legal issues with some vigilante content removal on a rapidshare board.. However, Gmail is a different deal and I think this is a pretty big fucking deal.

you had to report that to authorities. now you made only public boom, someone changed this guys pass and icon on his board, many people was inside his gmail, so you made things only harder. next time do things without public crowd ;)

I changed the avatar. It was reported to the authorities through ASACP page. I never made the gmail account public. So things are harder? Holy shit man.. So many experts on my situation.

no no man, i mean that its better to make things outside public, so you no more have problems with people against you ;) and of course, less marks you keep more you are safe. so do not change anything next time, just report from some free email adress and its all ;) but you did good work by reporting thats for sure keep it up!
