Its not about quantity, its about quality.

I'd rather be a member of small and meaningful business forum than a major trolls' forum with < 1% business threads, where most of the business threads bite dust by haters and sig whores' hands.

secret forums have been here for a long time but they werent password protected

still they were almost empty, the only posts there were from people saying "who is here?" and then 3 weeks later someone replied etc

and they were also ocassionally used for running bots and increasing someone postcount

I don't use ICQ anymore.

Best way to create more business threads is to start one... who cares if there are "secret" forums. I am sure there isn't one person in them that won't talk business with you if you want to talk it with them.

Anyone who is serious with business can start a business thread and get a few replies. Sure you may not see it as a super active thread but do not get fooled. Not all activity of such threads happen in the thread. Often people will contact you privately and fill you in on what you need. Other times they may just post it for the public like I often do. So a big tip, have your info in your sig or in your location, specially ICQ even if you hate it or at least something that is compatible with ICQ.

Also do not buy into the whole "its gfy what do you expect". Do business here, there is plenty to be done. Just add a lightbulb to your initial post icon.

Thats true. But by business I don't always mean buying/selling or trading something. What I mean is healthy business related discussions as well, which we hardly have on gfy .. even when you start something, it eventually will convert into shit and you will have to say "gfy" and pass-on .. Bullshit to Business ratio is just too high.

The guys who respond seriously to serious things can be counted on fingers ..
