Are journalists who investigate kiddy porn...

...actually pedos themselves and using it as an excuse?

I've often wondered about it....and read an article on Kurt Eichenwald, the NY Times journalist who tried to "save" Justin Berry...

I think most probably aren't, but reading that article does raise some questions:

By late June 2005, Eichenwald?s rapport with Berry was strong enough that he began angling for a meeting, but Berry was reluctant?he still thought his Internet benefactor was a gay Gary Glitter. Eichenwald pressed him repeatedly. He reminded Berry of his generosity, and talked about the promise of a movie. Eichenwald says he grew more desperate when he learned that Berry might be considering two marketing stunts in conjunction with his return: an Internet ?auction,? where he would prostitute himself out to the highest bidder, and a whistle-stop tour in an RV?Eichenwald calls it ?a molest-a-thon,? even though Berry was over 18?in which fans could have a private show.

I wonder why countries just don't set up on a federal level a service that will allow individuals as to report CP sites without being investigated themselves... the reason I say this is that any individual can come across CP, however as soon as they report such, they get seen as being a potential problem... Is it that Interpol and other policing agencies have their own people on this problem ??? and that is why they tell people just to turn a blind eye to CP ???

I just thought this was a question to ask...

Yeah, that was my initial understanding, but that article really changes the perspective on the whole thing
