I'm not into stalking people online but from what I'm reading here it looks like gideongallery is mainly just a surfer. I used to take him for someone who was a bit into the whole "Information wants to be free" thing but he's now clarified that he's not about that and instead is openly for theft for profit purposes. I don't know what to think of the guy now after considering his hundreds of posts here advocating the destruction of my business. Well i make money from teach people how to deal with piracy, not from making money from piracy. That business is now on auto pilot. The process won't have to change until the laws change.It's sad when somebody claims to make tons of money from piracy...and really just works for someone else.
I could make money from piracy, the stuff i learned during my test could just as easily be used to throw up more road blocks against copyright holders who are not fair use friendly.
For example in this case (instead of asking for $50 /takedown) i could teach foreign piracy sites to add the following auto responder on the DMCA email address

No they should not pay a fee. However, if it is fraudulent and the DMCA is uncontested, the sender should be fined a very large amount, per DMCA.
Sending a false DMCA should be a felony punishable by a very large fine and jail time for repeat offenders.Comment

Legal compliant claims should be honored as a part of doing business. False b.s. costs a lot of man hours, and I believe is also illegal. For those sorts of requests, the submitted should be held responsible as it can bog down the process for legit requests to be taken down in a timely fashion.
Many, not all, ISP's work on thin margins. They do not have the resources available to be sitting around all day sorting out the right from wrong DMCA requests from the legit ones. Abusing the DMCA process should have some sort of repercussions in place.Comment
