FLV to WMV software?

Even if you have very high quality source material- the flvs-your wmvs are not going to look better than what you started with. And if those are medium or low quality flvs, your wmvs will look even worse in all likelhood. You are trying to convert one heavily compressed end user format to another. You might try the VideoCharge app at Videocharge.com. I can't specifically recall if it can convert from Flash Video.

You might also want to check if the newest freeware version of Windows Media Encoder from Microsoft can accept Flash Video as an input. That app can create good WMV quality usually.

i tried the windows media encoder but could not get it to work as flv is not supported as an input file.
if anyone knows how to get this to work let me know

mmpeg is pretty good, though no matter what you do you will probably end up with pretty low quality, flvs are usually pretty highly compressed..

flv -> wmv will only give you crapy results... your output will never be of better quality . The only thing that matters is your source... Try on2 technologies ... www.on2.com
