    Whodathunkit?

TPB have worked out another way to get around the UK block on their site.

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tech/new...addresses.html

I'm on BT, who blocked them, and yet I can access it.

Pretty much, the day they were blocked there were hundreds of proxies posted for everyone to use.

So, the fact that something might be difficult to enforce is your argument as to why it should not exist?

No, once again, my argument as to why it is a waste of time and money is because it is IMPOSSIBLE to enforce. Not hard. Not difficult. Impossible.

                        As this shows.

                        Hope that's clear.

                          Impossible?

                          Not necessarily.

In Holland the providers don't really want to block it, so they only block the IP that is in the court order, and then TPB changes IP, the music organisation has to get a new court order to get the new IP blacklisted as well and they go in circles. Kinda weird that they do it by IP and not by name.
But probably because people that use TBP know how to get to the site by using other domains. There are 1000s of proxy domains to access the site.

Not everyone uses the Piratebay or Torrents for STEALING. There are plenty of other options and some people actually do have the right to download certain things that might already own.

                                Spend you some brain.

Indeed. And you can see their top legit and totally legal torrents by looking at their Top 100 torrents:

                                  http://thepiratebay.se/top/all

Yea, I know THAT list is only stolen shit, but if you catch it at the right time of the day, it's all legit stuff. I'm sure of it.

I guess one might say the same thing about murders, street racing and bank robberies as well. Hell, they have been trying to prevent those things a lot longer than the Internet has been around and they still exist.

Time to give up? If not, why not? Apparently it is impossible to enforce.
