The rapper started filming scenes for "All Is By My Side," the Hendrix bio-pic written and directed by John Ridley. The film focuses on the guitar legend's experiences culminating in the seminal album "Are You Experienced?"
Hendrix's estate is not on board with the project so far -- earlier this month they released a statement saying, in part: "Experience Hendrix, LLC [has] made it known many times in the past that no such film, were it to include original music or copyrights created by Jimi Hendrix, can be undertaken without its full participation."
