    Microphone automatically muted on Windows startup?

    I have my microphone plugged into the front jack... the rear jack did not work either... every time I restart Windows the microphone is automatically muted. It's pretty annoying.

    Anyone have an idea why this is happening? And how I can fix it?

      Mine is like that too. I think it is so you don't hear everything through your speakers when you aren't specifically using the mic.
