Yeah, I had to do it in my garage on sawhorses, with a shitty old skillsaw. Four coats of finish, both sides, waiting between each coat to dry. Sanding solid oak. Trips to the city (45mins each way) to borrow a table saw a couple times. Three trips to Home Depot (20 mins each way). It adds up.
I thought it would take 3 days. If I had a proper shop, with proper tools, I could do it in 2 days and make it look twice as nice. Unfortunately, I don't.ICQ: 91139591Comment

Same here... mine is layered with shit... phones... cameras... checks ... stacks of porn cds to edit... envelopes of every nature.... coffee... crap/garbage..... red bull can... ginger cookies... there is 1450 in assorted bills too... thats a nice touch i like to keep around...
to be honest, Ive been looking into a new desk too... this desk is far outdated by my goods... Just a crappy ole college desk with dual monitors... (want another for wrap around effect)

Just moved in about three days ago, the first room completed, setting up another desk to get a programmer in house. With that being said here is a pic of my office during day and night.
