I don't get it. How did Gore reinvent himself? Insofar as I know, he's the same guy he's been for his entire career... just moving in a different direction now.

The Gore thing was a joke.
I'm reading "The Clinton Wars" by Sydney Blumenthal and the part I'm in now discusses how the right wing created this whole "reinventing" thing in order to make Gore seem dishonest...so I guess that was fresh in my mind.
