    Any benefit in watermarking movies?

    I'm adding some new movies to me members area that are in WMV format. Is there any benefit in watermarking these movies?

          I'm still undecided, I've noticed that most free sites don't watermark there movies! Why is this the case?

              Watermark everything! Like CIVMatt said, you may as well show everyone were it came from. Branding is of major importance. You work hard to produce your content and sites, make sure anyone who sees your work, knows that it came from you.

                  Watermark them so when people rip them and put them on torrent sites you will atleast receive some traffic and you might actually receive some conversions.

                      Watermark every pic and vid cause its going to get ripped. Legally, I would go as far as to say trademark/servicemark the watermark as well.

                          Also, there are lots of members who will download everything and save it, then watch it later, if it is watermarked, they know where to go back and find more of that content

                              so true whether you like or not people are going to rip your content babe and when they distribute it atleast u would receive some traffic from it.

                                  In my opinion a nice watermark provides a professional touch to the video. I'm more likely to buy something from a watermarked video (assuming the watermark is nicely done) than a non-watermarked video.

                                  If it's not watermarked I'm not sure if you ripped it off from somewhere yourself and threw it on your domain...
